Abstract
Introduction. The system of training sportsmen-tourists to participate in hikes or sports tourism competitions requires new optimal approaches and training methods, because when overcoming natural obstacles, a variety of tourist equipment and tactics are used, as well as various methods of ensuring safety. Therefore, the question of raising the level of the educational and training process of tourists and mastering them with technical and tactical methods of safely overcoming natural obstacles (stages) during sports competitions and tourist trips is quite urgent. The purpose of the article is to develop organizational and methodological recommendations in order to increase the effectiveness of teaching technical and tactical techniques when overcoming natural obstacles (stages); improving the level of training of athletes and judges during sports hiking competitions. Research methods: provided for the analysis, generalization and systematization of data on increasing the effectiveness of teaching technical and tactical techniques when overcoming natural obstacles (stages) during tourist trips (competitions). We used the following list of modern methods: analysis of scientific and methodical sources; study and generalization of best practices; systematic approach; method of system and structural-functional analysis. The results. The article covers the issue of practical tourist and sports training of participants in tourist competitions and hikes, an analysis of the scientific and methodological literature on the organization and conduct of this type of activity was carried out; methodical instructions were provided to optimize the educational and training process of tourists and to master them in technical and tactical techniques for safely overcoming natural obstacles; practical recommendations are given for improving the level of training of athletes and the organization of judging during sports hiking competitions at the «Obstacle course» and «Cross-country» distances, on the example of the «Inclined hinged crossing over a river, ravine» stage, in accordance with the new version of the Sports Tourism Competition Rules, approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2021, and the updated Technical Regulations for Hiking Tourism Competitions, approved by the Sports Tourism Federation. Conclusions. The method of overcoming and judging the stage «Inclined hinged crossing over a river, ravine» proposed by us makes it possible to optimize the process of training athletes and judges during sports tourism competitions and will help to safely overcome natural obstacles on tourist routes in real conditions
