Analysis of the components of the competitive activity of the handball players of the national team Ukraine at the European Championships 2022

Abstract

The relevance of the study lies in the analysis and evaluation of the components of the competitive activities of handball players of the national team of Ukraine at the European Handball Championship at the group stage of the draw. Achievements and rankings of leading national teams in the international arena are the main components of preparing them for official competitions and maximizing the realization of both team and individual opportunities. The received information promotes effective development of handball at the national level, increase of indicators of competitive activity of handball clubs. The purpose of the work – is to analyze and evaluate the components of the competitive activity of handball players of the national team of Ukraine at the European Handball Championship. Materials and methods. The game of handball players of the national team of Ukraine and their opponents in the group at the European Handball Championship 2022, who qualified for the final tournament and won the prestigious trophy, is analyzed. Data obtained from official protocols available on the website of the European Federation (https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/ European_Men's_Handball_ Championship_2022). Used theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature and technical protocols on the Internet; method of system analysis; chronological method; methods of mathematical statistics. The results of the research showed that the indicators of the effectiveness of attacks range from 56.3% (France) to 43.0% (Ukraine); High skill of free throws was demonstrated by handball players of the national team of Serbia – 11 out of 11, efficiency 100%, Croatia – 11 out of 12, 91.7%, France – 6 out of 8, 76.0% and Ukraine – 3 out of 6, 50.0%; the average maximum speed of throwing the ball into the goal at the group stage for Ukrainian handball players is 136.42 km/h; Ukrainian handball players showed the best performance in the speed of movement – 8.84 m/s, as well as overcoming the maximum distance – 3834.2 m. Competitiveness indicators can be used to test individual and team technical and tactical actions to compare and analyze its relationship with team rating. Conclusions. Components of competitive activity of handball players of the national team of Ukraine at the European Championship is characterized by instability, both personal and team performance. We observe a low rating of our team on the components of technical and tactical actions and their effectiveness. Regarding the individual rating (auxiliary motor activity) – 3-5 Ukrainian handball players were in the top five players of the matches
