Abstract

Introduction. The article is devoted to summarizing research data of foreign experience in determining the organizational and methodological aspects of the optimization of motor activity of children in the summer recreational camp. Objective – analysis, synthesis, systematization of scientific and methodical literature on the content, organization and methodology of physical education and recreational activities in summer recreational camps abroad. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted at the Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav. In the process of research the following methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature data and documentary materials, the method of comparison, the method of system analysis. Outcomes. Analysis of the literature on the issues of the study has found that the main reasons for the insufficient level of physical education and recreational activities in summer recreational camps are: low qualification level of teaching staff, insufficient material and technical base, the low level of methodological support of recreational and health activities of children. Conclusions. Most researchers believe that summer recreational camps have educational and recreational opportunities. Thus, it is possible to solve many different aspects of timely and harmonious development of the child’s personality in an integrated way. In particular, to optimize the physical condition and psycho-emotional development of children, to motivate them to regular exercise and sports, learning foreign languages, and so on. Considering foreign experience in organizing physical education and health work in summer recreational camps and comparing it with domestic experience, we can state that the issues of organization and methodology of physical education and recreation activities in domestic institutions of recreation for children need further development and introduction of positive foreign experience in the practical activities of institutions
