Health and recreation movement activity of different groups of the population and its theoretical basis

Abstract

Introduction. Preserving the health and well-being of citizens is one of the most important goals of the sustainable development of the world community. It was found that the majority (56 – 57%) of Ukrainians are physically inactive. Their health can be significantly improved by involving them in regular physical activity. Goal. To analyze the state of the researched problem, to generalize domestic and world experience of the organization of improving and recreational motor activity and to develop its theoretical bases. Methods. A set of interrelated research methods was used, including: analysis and systematization of philosophical, psychological-pedagogical and scientific-methodical literature and information resources of the Internet to clarify the conceptual apparatus of research; analysis of normative and program-methodical documents in the field of physical culture and sports; comparative method for the purpose of comparison and analysis of foreign and domestic experience on the researched problem; abstraction, logical-theoretical analysis, historical analysis, systems approach, forecasting. Results. Theoretical principles of health-recreational motor activity are determined and substantiated, characteristic features of conceptual-categorical apparatus of health-recreational motor activity as a systemintegral lexical system, peculiarities of its formation and development are revealed, necessity is substantiated and ways of its improvement are defined «motor activity», «system of health-recreational motor activity», «health fitness», «sport for all», «physical recreation «and «recreational activity». Rethinking the essence of health and recreational physical activity allowed to specify the conceptual paradigms of the problem, to identify specific ways of its practical implementation. The obtained data reveal the possibilities and prospects of increasing the level of involvement of the population in health and recreational physical activity in Ukraine. Conclusions. Rethinking the essence of health-recreational motor activity made it possible to specify the conceptual paradigms of the problem, to outline specific ways of its implementation. The obtained data reveal the possibilities and prospects of using health-recreational motor activity in Ukraine
