Abstract
Introduction. The requirements of the New Ukrainian School require a review and modernization of the methods of conducting not only physical education lessons, but also other organizational forms of physical education of elementary school students. According to experts, this idea can be implemented only through a harmonious combination of the achievements of classical theory and methodology with innovative approaches to increasing the creative activity and social interaction of students during physical exercises. In this connection, there is a need to study innovative approaches to optimizing the process of physical education of younger schoolchildren, which are proposed by domestic scientists with the aim of their further implementation in practical activities. The purpose is to analyze, systematize and generalize data from special sources regarding innovative approaches to the organization of work on physical education of younger schoolchildren. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from literary sources; method of system analysis. Results of researching. Innovative technologies are an integral part of the development and improvement of the system of physical education of schoolchildren. The issue of the implementation of innovative technologies in the field of physical education is the subject of research by many scientists (O. M. Sainchuk, 2014; V. M. Kyrychenko, 2015; O. O. Mitova, 2016; N. Ye. Pangelova, 2018; S. V. Vlasova, 2019; I. O. Yuzkovets, 2020; N. V. Moskalenko, 2022, etc.). Scientists propose approaches to the application of methods and forms of new types of motor activity, methodological provisions, and organizational forms. Conclusions. The following common trends can be identified in the research of leading scientists regarding the mentioned problem: the need to use innovative health technologies to improve the physical condition of children; to develop options for ideas and the possibility of creating new health technologies; to experiment with innovative approaches in physical education, etc
