Abstract
Introduction. This article focuses on the formation of healthy lifestyle values among students in higher education by means of physical education. This involves establishing a system of appropriate values and attitudes, promoting an active life position, fostering positive motivation for self-development and self-improvement, and accepting responsibility for health and self-realisation in social and professional environments. The article studies the theoretical and practical aspects of forming healthy lifestyle values among students through physical education. The objective of this research is to investigate the theoretical and practical aspects of forming healthy lifestyle values among students through physical education. The study uses methods such as theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific literature, pedagogical observations, and surveys. The results of research. The article analyses the forms and methods of educational work in implementing the principles of a healthy lifestyle and argues for its significance in maintaining and strengthening the health of young people. The main components and factors hindering the formation of healthy lifestyle values are identified and generalized. The analysis conducted indicates that implementing innovative approaches to the field of physical culture considering the needs of students is an essential pre-condition for increasing motivation for physical exercises, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and developing health-preserving competencies. Conclusion.
